Bad, not high, taxes are “killing the goose” (members)

US economics Nobel Laureate, Ed Prescott, claims that Australia’s top marginal income tax rate is too high, and threatens Australia’s growth. From The AFR:

…at 49 per cent the top marginal tax rate would hurt growth and the government should redouble its efforts to bring down expenditure instead.
