New car sales rebound

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has just released new motor vehicle sales for the month of June 2014, which registered a 1.7% seasonally adjusted rise in the number of sales, but a 2.2% decrease over the year (see next table). It was the third consecutive monthly rise in sales.

Sales in June rose in seven out of eight jurisdictions.
