Digital companies rally against secretive TPP talks (members)

Dozens of international digital firms and user groups have signed an open letter to trade ministers and legislators raising alarm at the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations – the proposed regional trade deal between 12 Pacific Rim countries, including Australia.

The group believes that the copyright-related proposals included in the TPP would force ISPs to police their customers’ online activities, significantly raising costs, stifling innovation, and reducing freedom of the internet.
