ANZ job ads rebound

Here’s some better news. ANZ job ads for June are out and retraced a large part of May’s big fall, bouncing 4.3%. The May result was down 5.6% but job ads are still 6% higher year on year. Just quietly, I wonder if the volatility has more to do with seasonal adjustments than it is does any Budget effect. Chart from markscuttlebutt:

Anyway, ANZ reckons the labour market is in moderate recovery, which is probably a bit better than the reality.
