An interesting observation from COMSEC on the jobs numbers:
The share of young Aussies (15-19 years) in jobs or looking for work has hit record lows. And the unemployment to population ratio of those looking for full-time work has hit 5-year lows. By choice or compulsion, young Aussies are electing to study rather than find jobs. This represents good news for schools and universities but challenges for employers looking for young staff.
Not sure about that conclusion. I’d say the drop out rate is high owing to a lack of jobs.
