After adjusting for seasonal factors, the HSBC China Services Business Activity Index posted 52.5 in November, little-changed from 52.6 in October. This signalled a further moderate increase in business activity in the Chinese service sector. Although growth remained relatively weak in comparison to the historical average, it was still one of the strongest rates of expansion in 2013 so far. According to a number of panellists, stronger market demand boosted activity levels in the latest survey period.
