Another Fairfax icon bites the dust today. From the SMH:

Fairfax Media will stop printing BRW magazine from December but offer BRW content for free online, as the brand transitions into a digital property…The last print edition of BRW will be published on November 28.

Mr Aylmer said BRW staff may wish to participate in the company’s voluntary redundancy program, and that it would be talking to them and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance.

I haven’t read the old girl for so long I can’t remember. I’m a bit surprised it’s gone free. I would have thought a monthly edition of its special lists would still turn a decent profit but perhaps things are worse than I think…
