From the AFR:

Billionaire miner Gina Rinehart has postponed the awarding of a $50,000 bounty to the person who best promotes the resources sector against “far left or non-understanding media attacks”.

The reward was due to be handed out at an Association of Mining and Exploration Companies event in Perth on September 4.

A representative of Mrs Rinehart’s Hancock Prospecting confirmed they had run out of time to organise the prize and sort out the conditions attached to it.

“It’s not postponed indefinitely,” the person said. “We’ll hand it out next year instead.”

3d1k will be disappointed.
