Above is a short video interview on CNBC with HSBC’s Chief Economist, Paul Bloxham, who sees no mining capital expenditure cliff (rather a plateau over the next few quarters), sees the non-mining economy filling the void left as the mining investment boom eventually unwinds, and doesn’t believe that the RBA will make further cuts to interest rates this year given the Aussie dollar’s recent (modest) depreciation.
