As polling in the realm of Australian federal politics increasingly shows the distribution of the primary vote as a three-horse race, many have been left wondering how One Nation has come from relative obscurity to at times lead the pack in terms of primary vote.
As part of a report authored by Labor strategist Bruce Hawker and pollster John Utting, 1,000 voters who currently put their support behind One Nation were polled on a series of questions as to why One Nation has got their vote.
Among One Nation supporters, 91% say the country is heading in the wrong direction, compared with 62% of voters overall.
