When Australians were polled by RedBridge on which party was best able to handle various key issues in late July, there was only one issue where One Nation not only stood out from the pack but was entirely in a league of its own, the rate of immigration.
Of the three major parties, 17% said Labor was the best to handle immigration, 16% for the Liberal Party and 40% for One Nation, equalling every other party put together.
While One Nation has been the recipient of an increasing number of votes from across the political spectrum, largely driven by a push to send a message to the existing major party political class, migration is the one issue where One Nation has truly set itself apart in the eyes of voters.
