At the end of 2022, David Green – professor in the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia and an international fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London – penned an enlightening article in Canada’s Globe & Mail debunking the myth that strong immigration is required to “save” the economy.

With Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom now all experiencing record levels of immigration, it is worth revisiting Green’s arguments.
