We can’t have net zero and Big Australia

Terry McCrann argues that the federal government’s policies of net zero emissions and resuming the immigration Ponzi scheme are utterly incompatible.

If Labor and the Greens want to achieve net zero by 2050, they should not be aiming to increase the nation’s population to 50 million by the same date.

Likewise, committing to a ‘Big Australia’ means the nation cannot sensibly aim for net zero. It will be hard enough to achieve net zero with just 26 million Australians; getting there with a population of 50 million will be impossible.
