Dwelling approvals bounce back hard in August

New data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) shows that dwelling approvals rebounded by 6.8% in August and were up 31.2% year-on-year.

The rises were broad-based with detached house approvals up 3.5% and unit approvals up 13.7%.

Over the year, houses approvals surged 23.8% whereas unit approvals rocketed 47.4%.
