‘Caring’ industry to dominate Aussie jobs growth

The National Skills Commission has released a report, entitled “The shape of Australia’s post COVID-19 workforce”, which identifies sectors of the economy where demand for workers is expected to remain strong in the post-pandemic environment.

Not surprisingly, caring jobs like healthcare & social assistance are projected to experience the strongest jobs growth:

According to Australian Taxation Office Single Touch Payroll data, the Health Care and Social Assistance industry was one of only 4 industries to see an increase in employee jobs between March and October.
