Auction clearances continue to run hot

CoreLogic released its auction report yesterday, which revealed another weekend of strong auction conditions, with the national auction clearance rate rising to 78.6% from 77.0% last week, to be well above the 71.4% recorded in the same weekend last year:

Auction volumes nationally (3,232) were also way above the same weekend last year (2,701).

As shown above, Sydney’s auction clearance rate was 81.5%, just below last weekend’s 83.5% but well above last year’s 72.1%. Auction volumes were also stronger, with 1,169 homes going under the hammer versus 919 on the same weekend last year:
