Labor’s Andrew Leigh targets Coalition’s “forgotten people”

Labor’s shadow assistant treasurer, Dr Andrew Leigh, gave a speech yesterday to Per Capita’s reform agenda series entitled “Explaining the Rise of Australian Inequality”, which pinned Australia’s growing inequality on four key factors: falling union membership; rising technology and globalisation; inequitable taxes and transfers; and market concentration.

While the whole speech is worth reading, I found Dr Leigh’s swipe at the Coalition’s housing policy particularly interesting:
