Gold, iron ore drives fall in trade deficit

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of March, with Australia’s trade deficit improving to $2,163 million from $3,044 million in February.

In seasonally adjusted terms, exports rose $1,084 million (4%) to $26,529 million, whereas imports rose by a smaller $203 million to $28,629 million.
