Last ditch WA surge saves engineering construction

The ABS has released data on the value of construction work done for the June quarter of 2015, which revealed a 1.6% seasonally adjusted rise in the value of work done over the quarter but a 3.3% fall over the year, and an ongoing reduction in the construction pipeline.

According to the ABS, private sector engineering construction rose by 6.2% over the June quarter, whereas public sector engineering construction rose by 2.1% (see below chart).
