The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Friday released visitor arrivals and departures data for the month of June, which registered further falls in net long-term and permanent migration into Australia.
In the year to June 2015, there were 683,590 permanent and long-term arrivals into Australia – down from the record 792,500 arrivals set in the year to January 2013 – partly offset by 391,260 permanent and long-term departures from Australia (see next chart).
