As noted earlier in brief, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the June quarter 0f 2015, which registered lower than anticipated headline inflation, with underlying inflation also remaining well in check.
According to the ABS, headline CPI rose by 0.7% in the June quarter, up from the March quarter’s 0.2% rise, but below analyst’s expectations of 0.8% (see next chart).
