Kohler: Population ponzi preventing recession

Business Spectator’s Alan Kohler has penned a piece today arguing that Australia’s economy has become primarily dependent on immigration and population growth, which is helping to avoid a recession:

Whether or not Australia has a recession this year or next seems to now depend entirely on the housing sector and that, in turn, is being driven almost entirely by population growth.
