Coalition to tighten 457 visa rules?

The Abbott Government is set to announce measures to tighten integrity checks on employers using so-called skilled 457 temporary work visas to fill jobs in place of local workers. From The Australian:

INTEGRITY checks on the 457 skilled visa program will be strengthened, including by sharing data with the Australian Taxation Office, to ensure overseas workers receive their nominated salary and are not undercutting Australian jobs.
