Charting Australia’s population ponzi

Late last week, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released data on Australia’s historical population growth, which revealed some interesting truths about Australia’s turbo-charged immigration system.

The key chart pertaining to the release is shown below, which shows the historically high level of population growth in Australia since the mid-2000s:
