Rental slowdown as vacancies surge (members)

SQM Research has released its rental vacancies report for June, which reveals weakening rental market conditions across Australia, as evident by rising vacancies and quarterly falls in asking rents.

The national rental vacancy rate rose to 2.3% in June, with five of eight capitals recording annual increases (see below table).
