Australia tumbles down ethics index

An annual survey from the Governance Institute of Australia has seen Australia slide further down the The Ethics Index, from 52 in 2020 to 45 last year, and now 42 this year:

Now in its seventh year, Ethics Index 2022 found that nurses secured top spot for most ethical occupation with a net score of 77. Meanwhile, state politicians plummeted to the bottom of the trust pile (-22). Health registered as the most ethical sector (65), whereas media fell to least ethical (-15).
