QLD records another 16 local COVID cases

QLD Health has reported another 16 locally acquired COVID cases – the same number as yesterday’s:

No increase in daily cases.

Of today’s cases, four are linked to Ironside State School in the Brisbane suburb of St Lucia, including one teacher.

Two cases are linked to Indooroopilly State High School, one to Brisbane Boys Grammar and nine are close contacts or family members of cases already identified in the cluster.

A case in Cairns is not linked to the Brisbane cluster and the source of that infection is under investigation.

South East Queensland is scheduled to ease out of lockdown at 4pm on Sunday.
