NSW demands feds fund “congestion busting” infrastructure

Sydney Business Chamber’s western Sydney director, David Borger, has demanded that the federal government contribute a sizeable proportion of the $25 billion needed to build a new metro train line from Central Sydney to Parramatta in the city’s west:

“It is the sort of project that we can’t afford to kick the can down the road on. The strongest housing growth in Sydney is along the western corridor,” he said.
