The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of September, with Australia’s trade deficit falling to $1,227 million from $1,894 million (revised) in August.
In seasonally adjusted terms, exports rose by $426 million (2%) to $27,254 million in September, whereas imports fell by $241 million (1%) to $28,481 million driven by fewer consumption goods (down $223 million or 3%).
