New car sales stall

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released new motor vehicle sales for the month of February, which registered a 0.1% seasonally adjusted fall in the number of sales, but a 2.3% increase over the year, with ongoing strong growth in the sale of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) reported.

Sales rose in February in four jurisdictions but also fell in four.
