Hockey scores win in global tax avoidance crackdown

One of the good news stories coming out of the G20 central bankers and finance ministers meeting in Cairns over the weekend was the global agreement to share information on tax avoidance by large multinational companies.

On Saturday, Treasurer Joe Hockey introduced a detailed set of OECD recommendations to counter tax base erosion and profit shifting practices by multinationals and high net worth individuals.
