NSW stamp duty receipts begin the long fall

The NSW Office of State Revenue has updated its stamp duty data for July 2016, which reveals that annual receipts have now begun to fall, hitting the lowest level in 8 months:

And this peaking has occurred primarily on the back of sharply slowing housing transfers, whose year-on-year growth rate has turned negative:
