Another month of Australian data is out and it has exposed very precisely the big picture adjustment that we face for a very long time to come.

The fall in incomes revealed in this week’s wage price index and average weekly earnings releases from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) were a harbinger of what is in stall for Australia over the remainder of this decade.
